I was looking on YouTube for the Sons of the Pioneers' gorgeous recording of "Twilight on the Trail" from their 1959 album COOL WATER & SEVENTEEN TIMELESS FAVORITES OF THE WEST (I'm picky that way ). Unfortunately, that one isn't available.
I did find this one though. I confess, I'd never heard of Clint Walker before, but in my own defense, let me say that his TV show CHEYENNE was on before I was born. Turns out he was also a fine singer--his vocals remind me vaguely of Rex Allen or Vaughn Monroe--and DANG, he was easy on the eyes!!!!
(PS I had heard of Vaughn Monroe and Rex Allen because both Mom and Dad were big fans and we had recordings by both of them. )

Lol-- I just read the first bit of your title (See it was like this) and thought you were talking about Aztec Two-Step... New Yawk flavored folk, but hardly country...

My bucket doesn't seem to have any beefcake, so this will just have to do in its place.

And, by the way, thanks so much for disturbing my dreams.
Meanwhile, do I hear jealous baritone rumbles from somewhere??? Just sayin'--
Clint Walker was a big guy (6'7" tall) with lots of fans. Here is a video paying tribute to him:
