This morning, for the first time in what seems many many months, it was cool enough that I could turn on the oven and cook a bit. Sis had brought us a cup of fresh-picked blueberries yesterday, sweet sweet taut goodness. So I made like Sandra Lee of Food Network's SEMI-HOMEMADE and added blueberries to a prepared oat bran muffin mix. They came out looking something like this:

And delicious. The muffin mix was not too sweet to overwhelm the blueberries, and gotta give me credit, I had both fiber and antioxidants here. Although I have no doubt my beloved food snob Tony Bourdain would turn up his nose because they weren't from scratch, they were close to perfect. If I'd had fresh butter to melt in them as they came from the oven, they would have been perfect.
Served them with fried eggs, the yolks still slightly runny.
Sis also brought us some homegrown watermelon. However, I've already skirted the fine line of food porn with watermelon, some time ago, so I will content myself with saying that it's the best I've had all season.
