Just think, some people actually live near a waterfall. That would be wonderful. We do have a river that runs through the little town we live close to, but the only time it looks nice is when the blue sky and white clouds reflect in it. Or when it is flooded and really flowing fast. But it is a favorite place of mine to go down to the river where there is a small park by one of three bridges that cross it. This bridge is one with overhead, curved metal beams. There is a large concrete landing. I love to photograph the river and bridge. Makes a great background for a photo shoot. Your post reminds me I haven't been down to the river lately. Might just have to make a visit. Could use a little peace and quiet for awhile.

that indeed would be a beautiful place to unwind and slough off the day.
I was reading your comments over here on the blogger post, and I do think it is eerie that you mentioned smells and the sensation that someone was sitting on your bed, as that happened to me too, but not in this house; at a rental and felt like cat paws crawling overtop the covers, that freaked me out, my cat died there, got run over on the road a few feet from the apt. Nice to know that some people have experienced stuff like that too, and I'm NOT just hearing or feelings things even though I just don't understand the significance, Fairweather.

Indeed, Moon. Guess I'm pretty hopeless too. I'm pretty sure the man of my dreams thinks the world ends at the DC limits--Sigh! Thanks for stopping by!
Hi, Karen. Welcome to Fairweather's--we actually live just across the road from a creek, but unfortunately not a very pristine environment like the one in the picture. No waterfalls either. But the sounds, when it's running full, are truly relaxing. Thanks for stopping by! (PS will check out your site!
Hi, Miss B! No, don't think you're the only one experiencing this sort of thing. You aren't by a long shot. It IS freaky at the time it happens, but I've never really been frightened by it--just curious! Hope all's well today! Love & hugs!
True, Sid--until the voles come out to torment you-- One of these days I'd love to have a water feature like this in my yard. It's on my list. Thanks for stopping by!
Hello Fairweather, We have so many beautiful waterfalls here in the Smokies as well as lovely creeks. Right now it's just too hot to go out, the heat index today was 101.

But I forgot to add, when it was nice, not to hot, we used to go on a path and end up by a babbling brook. It is very relaxing as well as music for the soul.

Hi, Crone--it was about the same down here in the flatlands, the air hot to the touch and like breathing through wet wool--Would have been a good time to perch in a mountain stream and just let the water soothe you (specially in a shaded place)--thanks for stopping by!

Better yet, on a hot day - to get into the water.
